My LG Smart TV Isn't allowing me to open any thing, If i am to click on something like guide it will open and then close. It d

Read the manual. Is it connected to the internet (TV wifi or ethernet cable to router)? Have you updated the TV's firmware?

If so, and its in warranty, phone LG service to arrange repair or replacement.

I recently connected it to the internet and did an update but the remote was working fine beforehand

Maybe there's something wrong with the remote. Are you using the normal remote or a cursor remote? If you keep your finger on the button it will just undo what you did eg press input and hold it and it'll close the input screen again.

I am using the normal remote and if I just tap the input button it will open it and instantly close it

If the TV is still under warranty, the you should take it back to the shop.
