My mouse will only move on my lock screen but not on my home screen how can I get my mouse to work again

So when I turn my laptop on my lock screen comes up my mouse will move then but once my home screen come up my mouse will not move at all .

1. press windows button + r
2. type cmd in run
3. type "sfc /scannow",press enter, it might fix your problem
4. if not,I say the fastest way is to re-install your windows its just take like 1 hour , then you use your laptop PC disk to install your drivers , or just go to your laptop website -> support center -> download drivers, and don't forget to back up you important data on windows partition drive (+ Desktop!) , it will take like 2-3 hours in total , but tracking down and fixing the main reason can take days
