My new laptop cant run smooth on 144hz monitor

So i played my games with 144hz monitor benq xl2430 and just recently i have bought new laptop to accomodate with the 144hz
But it turns out just to be worse than my old laptop
New laptop : msi gt72 vr 7rd
Gtx 1060 6gb
I7 7700
Ram 8gb ssd 128gb
Old laptop : asus rog gl 752 vl
Gtx965m
I7 6700
Ram 16gb ssd 256gb
I use the exactly same cable from mini dp to dp
I dont understand that how does it become worse and stutter with newer gpu ver
Pls help

No, i connect the laptop via mini dp to external monitor
I have done that quite long time with my old laptop but my brother needs laptop and at the same time i might want to improve my experience.. so i bought new laptop

the new has less memory, but 8GB should be enough, check if the memory goes to 100%. Aside from that, try some bios and driver updates!

The memory says it's using 40%. Is there any way to maximize the memory usage?
Also i dont know how to bios

If it is at 40% then you should be ok from memory side.In order to bios update, you download the file from your laptop official site, put it in a usb screen and then go into bios and find the specific menu.

Done it but no progress at all
Is it capped with the original monitor frequency? It totally looks like 75hz for now
