my new ram does not start my laptop

I just installed new ram of 2 gb and when I try to start my laptop , it is not starting

but it is recognized in an app called CPUID CPUZ

With both the sticks installed in your laptop, go to memory tab in CPU-Z program and see how much size it shows?
