My nextbook area 8 screen will not turn on, how do I fix it?

I bought my son the Nextbook Ares 8 Lollipop edition for Christmas. It's always been a pain to get it to power on. No it doesn't work at all. The red light turns on while charging and turns orange when fully charged. Occasionally when playing with the buttons, the volume buttons do make a beeping noise, but the screen won't turn on. I managed to get the back off and I see nothing out of place. Anyone have any recommendations??

The system is maybe 5 months old, should be in warranty, contact the vendor for support to replace it.
