My Pc audio does not work?

I woke up this morning to find the sound did not work. I found that my computer is not recognising my speakers or my headphones. I did a windows update yesterday, not sure if that could do anything. Any ideas?

check your default audio devices in sound properties and volume levels/mute. you could try reinstalling your audio drivers. you could try uninstalling the windows update. if all fails you can do a check with system restore to before you had trouble. that would clear the software end of things in most cases - if you still have problems it could be hardware.

My Pc right now is using the audio from my monitor only. I does not recognize my speakers or headset. I have tried uninstalling my "amd hd audio" from device manager and reinstall, did nothing.
