My phone will not turn on, even though it is in the charger (LG Optimus F3)

So, a couple of days ago, my phone was out of battery, and I didn't charge it until around 12 hours later. When I plugged it in, it wouldn't turn on at all. I have tried taking the battery out and putting it back in, removing the SIM card, removing the SD, using a different USB power adapter and a different cable, nothing has worked. However, when I take the battery out and put it back in the light on the home button flashes. I have an LG Optimus F3, and any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I would just leave the phone plugged in for a couple of hours to seek if it will wake up. I had an old phone that hadn't been charged for weeks at least and it turned back on after awhile.

Thanks for your reply. I just left it in all night last night and it still hasn't turned on. I'll leave it in for the rest of the day, but if it doesn't wake up from all that I might give up.

Tried connecting to phone? Use some thin thing like tooth stick or some wire to clean charging port of phone to see if any lint is stuck into it.
