Question My POMGEAR earbuds are busted.

My Pomgear smartpods are broken. They were a Christmas gift. Now, they won't charge. One will stay on for only 30 seconds before turning off, and the other one will not turn on at all. It says power on, then Power off, like it's defective. They are charged, but they won't work. I tried everything. I had them for ONE WEEK! Can you help out? Are they defective? Do I need to return them to the store?
