My Samsung cell phone( note 3 & galaxy 2 can't scan my house wifi network!

I have a Samsung note 3 and Samsung
Galaxy 2, and these two cell phones can't find my house's wifi network, but can find neighbour's easily. Why?
I am not able to connect my cell phones to the wifi! Please help! Thank you in advance

What wifi do you have?
I'm mainly concerned witht he band. I dont think either of these will work with 5ghz.
Is your router broadcasting your SSID? if it isnt, the phone wont display it and you have to manually connect to it.
