My Son bounced his basketball on my Toshiba laptop screen.

Now parts of the screen light up, but it is unreadable. Do I need to replace the screen and the blacklight, or will replacing one or the other work to fix this. Where would I find the replacement parts?

First I would use a HDMI or VGA cable to connect the Laptop to a Monitor or TV and see if everything is working properly. Then I would back up the Hard Drive and then take it to the repair shop. If you still have damage Warranty on it I would contact Toshiba or where you bought the laptop from to let them know about this issue.
