My toshiba satellite A505 do not charge

i have Toshiba satellite A505 laptop and the battery did not charge. i try to remove the battery and use direct power from AC but it won't work, i replace the battery and plugin to AC it works fine bout if the AC is unplugged the computer stops automatically

sounds like you need to replace the battery, they have a limited lifespan
