my vga to s-video has a jumping screen.... HELP!!!!

I am trying to connect my laptop to my rca tv (analog) through the s-video converter I can see a duplicate of my laptop screen on the tv but the screen is jumping and theres no color. Please help me!

Sounds like a bad s video cable but it could also be the converter.

You would be better off just getting a newer TV with VGA inputs, S-Video resolution and likely your TV resolution in general, will make the laptop output look horrible.

A used 32" TV with VGA and HDMI can be found for about $100.
