damn i gotta redo my Saturday plans now... All earthquakes move the earths axis. The one in Chile was just big enough for us to measure the effects. No big, the end is not near

Which way did the axis shift? Did it correct the wobble or make it more pronounced? Is the shift equal at the North and South Poles? Unless the rotational rate was changed, wouldn't we just loose 1.26 microseconds at that moment as opposed to everyday?
