I need a good headset for gaming as well as listening to music and watching movies.
I looked rather thoroughly into Razer's Tiamat 7.1, but they have mixed reviews so I am not sure about them. Also it is highly suggested to have a good sound card for them which I do not have. How would my Asus P8Z77-V Deluxe onboard sound hold up?
I am also interested in their Black Sharks. The fact that I could take off the mic and use them as headphones is quite appealing, but I also want surround. Can anyone comment on how well their Razer Surround software works? And a bit of a long shot, but has anyone compared Tiamat 7.1 to the Black Sharks with the added surround software?
Also any suggestions for other headsets will be helpful. I would like the aesthetics to match my green Naga, Orbweaver, and Black Widow Ultimate I just ordered, but it is a tertiary factor.
PS: I'm leaning away from Turtle Beaches for petty personal reasons.
