Solved! Need a Good Laptop for some gaming. $400 Budget.

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
Normal screen size.

3. What screen resolution do you want?
My pc is at 1366x768, so anything around it. Doesnt matter much,, just be a widescreen.

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
N/A

5. How much battery life do you need?
Will be mostly used at home. Doesnt matter much.

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
Mainly Starcraft 2, I play at extreme low settings right now, cant have a big battle lol. So around medium.
New Swtor game at any setting. Not out yet.

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
Internet mostly, streaming movies. I use chrome so if that matter.

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
I am going to install quite a few games, say around 150ish.

About 1-2 years.

Doesnt Matter, wont really use it at any point.

Anything but compaq.

Also how is the XPS m1530 for current gen gaming, just curious because I might trade that with my neighbor. He doesnt know much about PC's.

I dont know about used laptops, I have nvr bought one before. Are they worth it. ill buy it if thats my only option.


As for current, I am using Compaq CQ5102F PC. I believe its stock version.
 
That laptop you linked is a display model. That's a used laptop to my way of thinking.
And you're considering your neighbors used laptop already.

Compaq Presario CQ5102F desktop PC
Intel Celeron 450 2.2Ghz CPU and Integrated Intel GMA 3100 graphics.
It does have a PCI-e slot for a video card upgrade.

WOW I didn't even consider upgrading mine at any point.

Well I do have a $400 budget, so what else can I upgrade.

WOW JUST WOW, serious people how do you guys do what you do, seriously whats your secret.

Wow checked some youtube vids and reviews and it seems it can play what I want it to play fine.
