Which is a better laptop for college and also for playing some recent or upcoming games?

The Acer is better for games because it has a GTX 1060 which is more powerful than the GTX 1050.

However. the Acer is heavier at 5.95lbs. But the Dell is not much lighter at 5.66lbs.

They have good offers in lenovo site ... why not buy from them ?

get the one with i7 7700HQ and GTX 1050 , there are 999 (256GB SSD and 8GB Ram) and $1200 (512GB SSD and 16GB RAM , with $200 and $350 discount

you cant find this in Newegg or Amazon now .. and with the GTX 1050

MSI notebook are not reliable and not for heavy use for college. its not all about the specs.

The Lenovo yoga 720 has longer battery life , touch screen , tablet mode , Digitizer pen , and light and powerful enough.

This is for college not for gaming alone . be careful what you get
