Hello, I am looking to buy a laptop for college. I currently own one but the problem is the battery life. I want something that I don't have to have plugged in all the time and of course I would appreciate some decent performance. I think somewhere along the lines of 6+ hours would be acceptable. I have done some research and looked at a few potential buys but I just wanted to check with the community if, either out of personal experience or just knowledge, there is any particular laptop that just steals the cake outright. Like it just does everything that anyone who plans to be away from home a lot and needs something that will stay awake without an outlet. I don't really care about the price, not to say that I am rich and can afford the most expensive laptop (Kind of like the Vaio Z), I would like the best buy for my money but I don't want to sacrifice too much so if I have to spend a little more to get something that will last then I will. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hi there,

You should check out the Toshiba Satellite U500-ST5307. It has a 2.13 GHz Intel Core i3-330M processor, 4 GB of RAM, and great battery life! It's also affordable and light-weight (under 5 lbs!).

What do you think?

Cheers,
