need a laptop suggestions for computer science at college

I need some suggestions for laptops for my computer science course. I have around £1200 to spend.

I would like something portable, long battery life and powerful enough to run programs like visual studio and to compile programs with.

I would suggest getting the latest HP Envy laptop and get Linux on it. That is what I use and it is very reliable and the performance is awesome. I like HP laptops because they are simple to modify which is perfect for your computer science course.
