Need advice on lap tops under 400$

Hi everyone. I'm in the market for a new lap top with my price range being under 400$ I really could use a built in CD-ROM drive but besides that I need help finding the best specs for this price range!!

Anything under $400 you won't be really happy with. That's the class of laptop that people get then immediatly post "it's slow what can I do to make it faster?".

Lenovo G50 for $460 is not bad, i3 CPU.

You can get a great used laptop for $400 or less. Look up the Lenovo T410 or T420 on ebay and craigslist, I work on those a lot, and they go for 220-300 which is a great value, they are very solid laptops, better than just about any new laptop that would be double the price.
