Need advice on this laptop

Hi guys, I've been looking at a few laptops and found one that doesn't seem too bad. I thought I'd get a few opinions on it from you guys here on the forums since you probably know better 😛.
i5 3230M @ 2.6Ghz
6GB Ram
Nvidia GT740M (1GB DDR3 VRAM)

Do you think those specs are good enough for mid range gaming? Thanks

I found another variant of the same laptop but with 1GB more VRAM but its for an nvidia GT635M would that be better or worse?

WELL TO PUT IT SIMPLE YES it will work on mid-high graphics

Is it worth getting a slower graphics card such as the nvidia gt635M with 2GB or should I stick with the 740M with 1GB?

What games will you be playing? Few games utilise more than 2GB of DDR5 vRAM. There will be benefits going both ways, personally I'd just tone down the render distance.

I think it was DDR3 btw, and I intend to play games such as Bioshock infinite, Civ 5, etc. Will it be adequate?
