So iv'e been looking around for a while now for a good audio setup but without actually listening to it myself I wouldn't actually know what to look for as I don't know muck about this topic. I love bass and i am looking for something that will shake my room if possible, I don't know why but I hate listening to music if it isn't really loud whilst the bass is booming and rumbling as well. I have been looking at the Sony GTK-XB7 as it seems really good and looks very nice but I don't know if it would cut it for what I want. Please could someone suggest something for me that doesn't hurt my wallet too much, I'm thinking around £400-500 max but would also consider spending some extra if it means getting the best i can afford.
The help would really be appreciated as I am not that good with this stuff as I have already said, thanks for any help given.

Without listening to stuff in person its almost impossible to tell what YOU like vs what some reviewer likes.

Go visit some of your local stores that sell home theater stuff. Bring your favorite CD or a USB stick pre-loaded with some of your favorite songs. Tell them you want to listen to your music on their systems. At first, ignore the price, and see if their systems sound good to you. Once you find the "OMFG that sounds awesome" system, work from there and find something you can afford.

If you cant tell the difference between the $50,000 home theater system and your current setup - Then go home, keep what you have and spend your money elsewhere.

if you cant get out, then here are a couple systems to start with...
