Question Need help about igpu

So im using a laptop which has Intel I7 11 th gen and Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti i bought an external monitor for gaming and when i connect it gets connected to igpu can anyone help me connect it to dedicated gpu ? or if i use mini display port will it connect to dedicated gpu (Im using HDMI 2.0)

Your system won't use the 3050Ti until you put a load on it (like when gaming). Else, the system uses the iGPU.
