Need help bad

Okay so just recently I discovered an issue on my laptop. I was playing a game of league which I play a lot of and have never had an issue playing it before then randomly 10 minutes into the game or so my fps dropped to 2 fps. This has never happened before and I usually run at 60 fps every single game, This now happens every single game I try to play. And just recently I was attempting to watch a movie on my laptop and the same exact thing happened. The movie started lagging around 10 15 minutes in. I have never had any problems like this ever before and have no idea what could be causing it. I know its not overheating though because there is a cooling pad always plugged in to my laptop.

Updated drivers or anything recently?

Use speedfan or the like to check temps. Cooling pad is no guarantee - a fan could be going out internally.

Yes actually I updated pretty much all of my drivers recently. And I will download speedfan to check my temps during a quick test game.

Actually, might try OCCT (its free ) - has temp and volts monitoring plus built in tests.

only went up ab out 5 degrees celcius over the course of 20 minutes

Was that with a test running or idle?

Might be time to reload windows.

played another game it went to about 60 degrees celcius went it started legging

Thats not bad temps at all. Before reinstalling windows, try rolling back to an older gpu driver.

how would I go about that

Go to the gpu maker (amd or nvidia) site and look in the driver section for a slightly older driver.
