Hi , so basicly my girlfriend is going to start a new university semester next september and her 4 year old Dell is coming to the end of it's useful life and I have been looking at the deals and havn't found what I have been looking for which is why I'm calling to the help of you guys!! 3. What screen resolution do you want?
1920x1080 , 1600x900 can work too
4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
Mostly portable as she carries it around everywhere she goes
5. How much battery life do you need?
6h+ would be optimal
6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing,watching movies, Etc.)
Student work (writing essays, etc) , watching HD movies , web surfing.
8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
500GB+

Nothing preferred really ... reputable brand is always appreciated as it is most of the time more reliable

-Windows 7 OS is really necessary ... she absolutely hate Windows 8.
-Another important aspect about her laptop would be that it needs to be "robust" as she can be somewhat tough on her electronics sometimes
