My budget for a new laptop is 650 - 750 (800 max).
I am more focused on price to performance ratio and quality of build ( I don't want my laptop to explode in flames or dying within 3 years)

I mostly use my laptop for my general work, school, and rarely gaming (free online MMO - smite, DFO, -might play other games if I have better specs).

I think the most intense programs I run are autocad, photoshop cs6, cadence, pspice, (any MMO killed my previoused laptop), and profilers for IDEs.

So im stuck between:

[laptop 1] Lenevo $680
Processor: 4th Generation Intel Core i7-4510U Processor (2.00GHz 1600 MHz 4MB)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 820M 2GB
Memory: 8.0GB PC3-12800 DDR3L SDRAM 1600 MHz
{wireless ac, and 8gb of SSD)

[laptop 2 ] HP $ 675(8GB RAM) $775(12GB RAM)
Processor: 4th generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4700MQ Processor
GPU: NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) GT 740M Graphics with 2048MB of dedicated video memory
RAM: 8GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm) (can bump up to 12 GB for total $750)
{win7( i can upgrade to 8)}

[laptop 3] HP - $775 (8GB Ram)
Processor: 4th generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4712HQ Quad Core Processor
GPU: 4GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850M Graphics
RAM: 8GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)
{win8}

Please Advice, and thank you in advance.

I'd stay away from HP if you can. I would also look towards the Lenovo Y40. It'll provide you the best bang for the buck within the budget.

As far as consumer laptops go, they are very low quality, inconsistent, and their support is abysmal. Their professional lines aren't bad. It's just good to avoid their consumer laptops.
