Need help finding a cheap laptop for gaming

Hey
I'm looking for a cheap gaming laptop to play (2007-2012) games on. I have $600aus to spend.
I found 2 i like but don't know which is better... I'm a noob at this haha.

Laptop 1: toshiba satellite c50-c00k $600
Intel core i3 dual core
4gb ram
1tb hard drive
Intel hd4400 1.7ghz graphics

Laptop 2: brand new asus from ebay, $520
Intel pentium quad core n3540 (2.16ghz - 2.66ghz)
8gb ddr3 1600mhz sdram
1tb hard drive
Integrated intel hd graphics

Whats best?
What would you suggest?

i3 dual core is going to be WAY BETTER. However, what games are you going to play? There were some very demanding games in 2011-2012.
