Hello all,

My dad works night shifts, so on his weekends, he just watches movies from about 10:00PM - 6:00AM on our home theater setup. He wears headphones so he doesn't wake anybody up at night. He currently runs a 50 foot headphone cable to our Denon receiver because it is on the other side of the room. If I bought wireless headphones for him, is there any way he could use them to listen to his movies with our current setup? The receiver obviously does not have bluetooth capabilities.

Short answer: Of course.

Longer answer: Some wireless headphones conveniently come with a matching hookup to attach to your receiver.

Some wireless headphones have the transmitter in the charging stand and a standard headphone cord. Some are bluetooth. You could then get a bluetooth transmitter to add to the Denon. Check the specs of the receiver. It may support bluetooth from the factory.

Solution
Bluetooth can have shorter range so pay attention to how far you can have them from the receiver given that you mentioned a 50 ft cord.
