Solved! Need help getting upgrade CPU

I have a Gateway 200 ARC laptop that has a pentium-M 1.3 Ghz processor. I would like to know what is the fastest CPU that I can upgrade to that is still compatible with this laptop.

I would contact Gateway support except there is no longer any Gateway support.

I believe that the Pentium-M is a socket 479 chip. If you can find another socket 479 chip, it may work- it may not. With such an older laptop, it isn't worth it to throw in another CPU that may or may not work, as you have to keep in mind that there are power requirements, increased heat, etc... Your best bet would be to save the money and invest in another laptop.
