Need help picking out a laptop

Hello, for school i'm going to need a laptop. I want the laptop to be powerful (dedicated graphics and preferibly quad core processer but doesn't matter), good battery life(more then 7 hours on battery saving mode or removable battery), and should be at least carryable. Price doesn't matter and any help is appreciated. Thank you.

There's the Dell XPS 15 for $1,600 CAD. It has a quad core i5-6300HQ, 1080p screen and nVidia GTX 960m. It weighs in at about 4.4lbs and it's thin bezel makes this 15.6" laptop about the size of a 14" laptop.

I would recommend that you can look at some good brand such as MSI and Alienware. There's the MSI GS series which is balance with portable mobility and working performance. Just check the link on Xotic. http/www.xoticpc.com/msi-gs60-ghost-242.html

The MSI is a good gaming laptop, but stated battery life is only "2+ hours". The OP is looking for at least 7 hours.

Various reviews for the Dell XPS 15 generally stated with typical usages (no games); the battery lasts 7 - 9 hours depending on whatever methods were used to test battery life.
