Hello,

I need a laptop for CAD and various 3D rendering. I would be rendering images, not video animations, so nothing spectacular is needed, meaning an "OK" performance is sufficient.

Budget: Ideally € 1000, perhaps slightly more, max. € 1200

Brand: Anything except Acer

Resolution: 1980 x 1080

Size: 15" and above

HD space: 1 TB and above

Optical drive: Not necessary

Battery life: Not a priority, just average is fine.

Battery type (?): A non-sealed battery is preferred (how do you tell from specs?), but if this is difficult to find, then a sealed battery is OK.

Longevity: I'd like to be able to use the laptop for at least three years.

Additional information: I live in Germany and would like to buy the laptop from Media Markt, so here's what I can choose from: http://www.mediamarkt.de/de/category/_notebooks-462906.html

Thank you all.

I was really hoping to get at least two replies.

In any case, I am strongly considering the Asus N752VX-GC131T. The laptop has pretty good reviews but it does not have a removable battery so I'm not sure if this is a huge drawback. I don't even intend to use it unplugged so I assume I have nothing to worry about? What's the worst that could happen?

Here's a review: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Asus-N752VX-GC131T-Notebook-Review.161407.0.html

What are your thoughts? I appreciate it.
