Hi,
I have recently bought Philips SPA7000B 5.1 Channel Audio System.
I have Gigabyte GA-970A DS3P Motherboard which supports 2.1/5.1/7.1 CH Audio System.

I have connected all the speakers to the sub woofer. I need help in connecting Sub-woofer to PC.

My PC has Three connectors:
Line-In.
Line-out.
Mic.

My Audio system has following connectors for INPUT:
1) FM ANT
2) AUX - Left & Right
3) CD/DVD - FL & FR
CEN & SW
SL & SR

At present I am using AUX to connect to Line- out of my PC. Hence my system is using it as 2.1 Channel.

Please help me configure in a way that I can utilize all the three connectors of PC.

Hi, sorry for delayed response.

I remapped, front audio port as "Rear" speakers and front Mic as sub woofer.
But I got the same results.
It seems, New sound card is the only remaining option.
Could you please recommend a card. Budget is $30

Hi Buddy.

I guess, I found out the real problem.

It has something to do with "Pro Logic".
I was reading the manual. There I found an option to switch off the Pro Logic (when connected all the input ports of speaker (DVD) to PC (line out, sub-woofer, real speaker). Amazingly, when switched pro logic off, I tested in Realtek Sound manager, and this time, all the speakers were successful in test.

But sound quality was a little bit poor.

Could you please read the following text and help me, in determining the correct config. Coz as suggested in manual I don't need to connect all the ports, I can use Aux as well and toggle Pro logic and test if everything's working.

I appreciate your help. Hope this will be the last issue.

Update: When I connect only via AUX port, during testing, not all the speakers work, even though I toggled the Pro logic "on" and "off".

Hi, I am using msi 970a-g43 mobo. It has the three channel output for front/back speakers and subwoofer. But the phillips speakers has only dvd RCA output(red white cables on both ends)

Can i use three Y cables(RCA to 3.5 mm) to make 5.1 work on the system?

Please help.
