Need help with gateway laptop

Anytime i start my laptop it shows me a black screen and it says.

That's is exactly what's displayed.
Does anyone know how is fix this?

is your hard drive listed in the bios?

In the bios there are two hard drives shown, Main Hard Drive and USB Hard Drive. Are either of these it?

what does it show for main hard drive? what does it show for the boot sequence for hard drive 1st, dvd drive 2nd or what? is the time & date correct in the bios?

2. USB floppy drive
3. Cdrom/dvd
4.boot to lan
5. USB storage stick
6. USB hard drive
And yes, the date and time are correct.

what is the make & model# of the hard drive like Seagate or western digital as should be listed under main hard drive?

The make is WD scorpio blue and the model number is WD2500BEVT-22ZCTO.

is that shown in the bios orb did you open the laptop to read that info off the drive?

I had to open my laptop up, i couldn't find that info in the bios.

try reseating the drive back into the laptop to see if seen by the bios. if still not seen then connect to another computer internally(secondary drive) or externally via a usb drive enclosure to see if the drive & data is seen on that computer as had to do that a number of times for customers.

I put the drive back in and nothing happened and i don't have another pc that i can put the drive into, what should i do?

how about a friend's computer especially a desktop that has sata ports available for testing purposes. what are you using to post to this site, a cell phone or a tablet?

I'm using a cellphone and my only friend that owns a computer lives in a different state.

get a usb 2.5" drive sata enclosure like in this list http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.php?cPath=14_202 & use a friend's laptop to see if can access your hard drive. what is the make & model# of your laptop?
