Hi all,
So I bought this: https
/www.amazon.com/FarSail-Splitter-Support-Players-Blu-ray/dp/B01CT9TNZM#Ask Hoping to be able to split my PC display and audio to an older HDMI tv. I have been unplugging the cable to switch from the living room tv and the 24" monitor. I'm mainly playing the Witcher and babysitting a puppy while on break and I want to be able to play movies from my computer without having to open the files blind. (My computer is in a room ~10 feet from the TV.
The computer is recognizing the devices, but not giving me an option to turn the sound on through the TV, just the monitor. I can make sound work going to the TV, but it will fail on the computer if both are plugged into the splitter.
I'm using a GTX 760 from nVIDIA. It may also be issues with my soundcard? (dunno, trying to improve my tech understanding) I have also wondered if I have the speaker setting incorrectly assigned to ports, I have two bose speakers on my desk plugged into the side panel of the PC. I can see this on and green when it is plugged into the side port, but I know it doesn't work through the back port.
Sorry if this doesn't make a ton of sense, I'm trying to learn, but I figured someone here would know more than me!
Should I be going at this in a different way? I have a DVI port in the Videocard as well. I just want to be able to mirror the displays with sound.
Here is the PC build http

Here are some screenshots I took of my sound options. It will not let me turn any of the ones with red arrows on. It senses that they are there. For the NVIDIA panel the one I have selected in the picture is the only one available for me to choose from (no HDMI or TV option, just the main monitor)
