Need help with laptop's hard drive

So here's the deal my laptop has broke down couple of months ago, and it randomly shuts down i was playing something on steam at that moment next second i try to power it on again windows (7) wouldn't launch, then after that i tried reinstalling windows and apparently it cant find a driver where to install the windows its just not there, so what should i do? buy a new hard drive? try to reinstall the drives or something like that?
