Need help with my samsung galaxy tab 2 10.1

I have an Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and the WiFi won't turn on. I will press the WiFi button for it to turn on and then it says turning on but then it will just turn back off and it just keeps on doing that. I have done a factory reset on the tablet but it still wont work. Its still doing the same thing. I don't know what to do so could I please have some help.

Has the tablet always done this? Or did it start after anything specific was installed or updated on the device?

Also, was the tablet dropped or banged just before the problem started occurring?
