Need help with touchpad.

On my Samsung Laptop when I keep my finger in the same spot on the touchpad without moving it then try to move the cursor it just stays in the same spot without moving. In order to have my cursor moving I need to take my hand off of the touchpad and then keep constantly moving the cursor or else it doesn't move. I searched everywhere for help, tried all my touchpad setting and I can't disable this.

Well, it may not be a setting. It could be a driver or hardware issue.

You should check for updates to your drivers, including the Synaptics drivers.

If this does not help, try an external mouse and see if it works well. If the external mouse works fine, then it may well be a hardware issue.
