Need Opinion on Computer Specs

Hi,

I am planning on purchasing either one of the below laptops. I don’t understand from computers very well anymore so help would be appreciated. I am planning on playing computer games like GTA V with this PC so please let me know whether I can play GTA V with either one and which one would you recommend:

1.HP Laptop:

- Processor: Intel Core i5-6200 is
- Processor Speed: 2.3 GHz
- Grpahic Card: NVIDIA GeForce 940M
- Screen Resolution: 1366 x 768
- Ram: 8GB
- Memory Type: DDR3L

2.Toshiba:

- Processor: Intel Core i5-6200 is
- Processor Speed: 2.3 GHz
- Grpahic Card: NVIDIA GeForce 930 mm
- Screen Resolution: 1366 x 768
- Ram: 8GB
- Memory Type: DDR3L

The only difference between the two is the graphic card. I want to buy the Toshiba because I think it is a better brand for laptops but I am open to any advice.

It'll barely run GTAV. For laptop gaming the 970m is the more popular video.

I've read in different websites that Nvidia GeForce GT 940M should be sufficient enough to play GTA V. If I can play GTA V then this PC should last me a long time. What do you think?

Well the laptop is only 1366x768 so that low resolution may help you. I'm not sure how a 940 will perform at that resolution. Also that I5 will help with GTAV. Still a cheap 970m based laptop would be preferred. I guess this calls for get the best you can afford.

I checked some benchmarks on Youtube with that video chip and they were getting 30-40FPS but at reduces qualities. You could notice some stuttering.

Out of those 2 I think I would opt for the HP just because of the better video. But definitely keep shopping.

Even a 960m, or if you can wait an RX480 based machine.

And a cheaper laptop will not have an SSD. You can swap out the drive for an SSD to increase performance even more.
