Need Program Guide & Favorites List

I'm thinking of cutting the cord now that ESPN and other sports are available but my wife is concerned about a program guide. She likes to sit down and scroll thru her favorites (HGTV etc.) to see whats playing. Anybody that can help with that ???

What service are you going to be using? If you are going to be using Hulu and such, there is no need for a guide since you are not watching live TV anyway but recorded shows, just pick what you want to see.

Probably will be using Hula .... but when you are just plopping down on the sofa, We now can scroll to see what is playing. For those that are not looking for anything in particular, it's nice. I guess I could set up HGTV & Discovery etc as favorites but I can't vision how easy or difficult it will be to just want to "browse" if you catch my drift.

Since there is no set show schedule, there is really nothing to scroll through except the networks. I am not sure if you can set particular favorites on your home screen in Hulu but that sounds like something they would offer. You can sort by genre and scroll through the networks that way. It's not quite the same setup though as a tv schedule like TV Guide uses though.
