Need some help comparing two laptops

Hi all,

I am currently in the market for a new gaming laptop. I have narrowed my choices down to 2

My question is concerning the GPU.

Is it worth having a better looking laptop, with 16GB RAM, 17 inch screen, but with a GTX 965m (The MSI GS70)

Versus a not as good looking laptop, only 8GB RAM, and 15 inch screen, but with a GTX 970m (The Gigabyte P35W, which is also £50 more expensive)

Is the graphics upgrade worth the trade? Any rough %'s improvement? Just general thoughts about which laptop is better.

Do you need the portability of a laptop?
If not, and you are on a budget, you should be able to get a better gamer building a desktop.

To answer your question, good gaming comes from a better graphics chip as a rule.

Already have a really nice gaming desktop, need a laptop for school and on the go gaming.
Which laptop seems more 'well rounded?' Is going from a 965m to 970m worth it?

For on the go, I would probably pick the smaller 15" unit which should be lighter and more portable.
Worth it? That is something only YOU can determine.
My guess is that there will not be enough difference in performance to matter.
Particularly if your games are sims, strategy or mmo games which are more cpu dependent.
