IMO its a good thing that KN posts questions and info which other peoples either doesn't dare to post or just lazy.
In any case there's few really active participants on this forum compare to readers, so any conversation which is not flame and off topic benefits to all readers.

I would recommend you to look at Clevo and its clones (Sager). And also, of course depends from tasks you are planning to do (heavily using ALUs), but CPU mostly waits for information/spends it time for doing task for software(which doesn't have hardware implementation) based devices nic/sound/modem and etc, etc..
So I would rather spend most of money for good board, memory, nic, sound (if for gaming) and video, then only cpu. but of course it doesn't mean to take crappy t2.... T7200 would be more then enough.
I personally like Clevo M570U model =)
