Hi,
<off topic>
IMO its a good thing that KN posts questions and info which other peoples either doesn't dare to post or just lazy.
In any case there's few really active participants on this forum compare to readers, so any conversation which is not flame and off topic benefits to all readers.

I would recommend you to look at Clevo and its clones (Sager). And also, of course depends from tasks you are planning to do (heavily using ALUs), but CPU mostly waits for information/spends it time for doing task for software(which doesn't have hardware implementation) based devices nic/sound/modem and etc, etc..
So I would rather spend most of money for good board, memory, nic, sound (if for gaming) and video, then only cpu. but of course it doesn't mean to take crappy t2.... T7200 would be more then enough.
I personally like Clevo M570U model =)

Hi !!

I was intending on buying a laptop, but I don't know which brand to choose!

It would be mostly for multimedia related applications (mostly 3D and 2D). I want to get at least a T7200 or T7400 has a CPU.

can anyone recommend me a good brand for the types of application i'm going to use? is Dell any good?

Last Spring the kid won an Acer Ferrari and we are sending it back for the second time, first time for the mobo, this time it looks like the hdd. I'd definitely stay away from Acer.

Thanks. Haven't seen 12 oz mouse, probably past my bed time. That's the problem with Adult Swim, doesn't start till about 10:30 or 11 PM and I'm asleep in front of the TV by 12 most nights so I miss a lot of the programs.

So if u want a laptop not to boil and drivers that are'nt not out of space.. and a truc go to best buy and big strore at the end of a 8hr days go see les demo
If hot even if u love it get away because at those strore les demo, were built to the best to selll ..
so the one u will buy later ,,
also best buy are the best when u want a price on a demo, and the only thing maybe we be the keyboard, but it's cheap and easy to install,

If u r a gamer i will strongly advide for desktop
Have fun
PS dont go hP or dell, and AMD processor no good for laptop because they degage more heat, and cost in electricity,
go for intel, and a graphic card it better , u can5t plug onto bigger screen

i can not say .. about apple to $$ but i try and all the applefriendly i know , they just love it because it is AND THAT TRUE maybe $$, but U will have (tranquility and might that true AND they are the best and no1 and the nusic industry
