need straight talk on verizon net

I am looking for a refurbished straight talk phone with simple qwerty keyboard that will be on the Verizon network. How do I insure the phone is set for Verizon? They used to have a certain letter in the part number showing main network.

look for a cdma phone as verizon uses cdma in the us
