need to switch cell phone companies from paylo to smart talk

If I switch from paylo no contract Kyocera phone to a smart talk no contract plan can I keep my old number? Also I need to purchase a smart talk phone which will run off a Verizon tower which phone is reasonablely priced that I can use

Best place to check will be with Straight Talk. You should be able to keep your number, that is actually part of a law that passed not too long ago, number portability.

As to what Verizon phones will work with Straight Talk, there are lots of conflicting info out there, it's best to talk to the carrier directly.
