I'm looking for a good video editing laptop - right now I'm on a 5-year old ASUS N76VZ that I installed two Samsung 850 Pro 1TB SSDs into to make it fast enough to get the job done - but the old video card and fact I can't upgrade that part of this laptop means I've basically got to upgrade.

I don't want to throw out the two SSDs, though, so having something where I can use at least one if not both of those existing SSDs with would be a big boost - the more storage ability the better. But basically top of the line VRAM and decent battery would be the keys. 15 or 17 inch screen would do too.

Upper part of the budget range is probably around $2,000.

what kind of video editing are we talking about here? What software more specifically?
It depends entirely on the software and the resolution you are working on.
