Is anyone familiar with neomodus directconnect? I can't seem to connect to any hub. I tried to click on the public on the connect popup but nothing happens. I turned off firewall on router and network card too. What else could be wrong? Thanks.

Go to settings and check 'Passive' user, if you are experiencing connection problems or sit behind a firewall this option usually solves the problem.

yeah i tried to do that and still no go. It's okay I'm using DC++ now, able to connect to public hubs but takes very long to connect to users. Thanks for ur suggestion.

DC++ is by far much better than the original IMO.

The reason for long connection times between users is probably caused by their slot settings.
If there´s no free slots you have to wait until a user leeching of that slot is finished.

Strange thing is that DC is supposed to prioritise users that only want to download the list, but it wont work for some reason...only option is to message the user and ask him or her to open up an extra slot for you (which they usually do if they´re online).
