hi all was wondering if anyone could help? i recently came across some
famicom games at least i belive them to be.. but i do not know much
about them.. i tried to find out about them on the web but was having
trouble finding sites with pics and if i did find a site with pics
there were not any for the games that i have..so i went on ebay to see
if i could find any there, and i only found one.of the games i have .
it was an ice climber game the only thing is ,is that the cartridges i
saw on ebay were blue and the one that i have is pink?? any special
reason?? also the carts that i have none of them straight out say
famicom on them.. unlike many that i have seen on ebay.. are these
bootlegs? or.. most of the carts i have have japanese writing on them,
but also have the name of the game in english on the cart as well
2 of them i have are strictly japanese writing. though one cart some one
wrote gradius 64 on it? the other i have no idea what it is suppose to
say. also on the back of some of the carts they say in english the
caution stuff like do not store etc, etc, some carts have nothing on the
back and 1 has japanese writing on the back. so i guess i am wondering
if these are proper games or maybe bootleg or ? are there any really
good informative sites out there ?? thanks all for any help .

Wild guess: Perhaps one is a pirate cart.

That's debateable. "Family Computer" is usually written in Japanese
on legit carts.

That's normal.

Gradius 64 sounds like a bootleg to me. If I remember correctly, most
Famicom carts didn't have Famicom written on them nor did they have the
"Nintendo Seal of Quality" like they do over here. Check here:

Not necessarily - lots of manufacturers were known to release FC games
in cases in all sorts of colors.

Yes, but wouldn't a particular title have the same color case?

Ah, yes, most likely. Didn't read the original post closely enough.
