Where can I receive the major networks (NBC, ABC, CBS) on DVB? I have a
Fortec Star 786 receiver and C-Band 7.5' dish.

Also, I'm a little confused on the channel search option. When you pick a
"TP", does it matter which one you pick?

Without any clue where you live (ie: what sattelites you can see), you might try
AMC7-C band, it has the Alaska networks ABC,UPN,CBS,PBS,NBC,FOX. There are other
sattelites that have some of these networks ... go to WWW.lyngsat.com for a
comprehensive view.

I don't know a thing about the receiver you're using, but I can tell you that
different TP's (transponders) carry different channels, so it does matter which
one you pick, unless you don't care what you watch.

I'm in Texas. I tried, but I could not get anything on W7 (AMC 7).

I can get a few on G10R.

On the Fortec Star 786 receiver, the "Search Mode" of "Auto All" I think
scans all TP's, so I don't know if there is any reason to choose a
particular TP. Does anyone know?

palarity before scanning.

I'm in eastern Missouri, and get them fine, as well. And since I've
watched the Denver channels (VCII) on AMC 7 in south Texas I know the
footprint extends that far south.

Take care,
