Without a case no matter what fancy tech you have inside an average drop height of ~5 feet onto concrete will still destroy it... Not to mention this new tech will make iPhones even more overpriced than they currently are. Just spend the money for an Otterbox or Lifeproof case and you know you're fall (and water proof with Lifeproofs) proof.
 
I wouldn't want my phone to pass gas in my pocket if I was jumping or on a ride that induces freefall.....
 
I've seen more shattered-screen iPhones than intact ones. It's one reason I went with Galaxy. I like to see what is on my screen.
 
When I saw the title I thought that they were going to glue the phones to our hands, or require that a glove be part of the iphone case.
