Hi sir,

Is the battery the same as the OEM one you have replaced?

Are the specs the same i.e. make sure it accepts or has the same:

voltage.

Yes, do make sure that it's OEM. "Compatible" replacements are not generally as trustworthy. If this was the problem with your last battery and the replacement you now have is OEM, then the problem is most likely with the onboard controller or the circuitry. 🙁

The battery was exactly the same spec, by dell. Its working ok now, just took a while for the laptop to recognise it. Switched the laptop on this morning - its working fine
