new battery recognation on Acer Aspire 3023WLMi with Linux Mint 18.1 Serena

My new battery does not load. resetting by pushing the turn-on knob for 30 secs without the battery and no power does not resolve the problem. What can I do more

Try another battery. If the new battery is not an official Acer one, likely it's bad.
