new build keeps freezing. forces me to restart.

the OCZ psu is not a great known brand when it comes to power supplies, its not even bronze certified so it isn't very efficient. Also the FX series has a somewhat weak memory controller, you are better of with 2 x 4 GB RAM instead of 4 x 2 GB sticks. Less stress on the memory controller.

I second that PSU comment, it could in fact be the issue. Update windows, the BIOS, the chipset, everything. Run MalwareBytes and Hitman Pro. run a sfc /scannow command from an elevated command prompt.

What is the issue with the psu? id like to know that before I have to shell out another 80bucks
